A night of energetic, socially & politically conscious, original live music from two powerhouse acts.
THE FORGETTING CURVE are a power trio, formed in Stroud, who play an engaging and intelligent (sometimes surreal) blend of alt-rock/post-punk/desert-rock/post-rock. Their influences include Pixies, Queens of the Stone Age/Kyuss, Black Sabbath, The Birthday Party, Sonic Youth, Fugazi, Bauhaus, Shellac, Husker Du, Minutemen and The Stooges. They have previously supported ex Queens of the Stone Age members Nick Oliveri & Alfredo Hernandez on more than one occasion, as well as Geffen Records band Bivouac.
THE THOUGHT POLICE are a three-piece band from the Forest of Dean, who bring a potent dose of punk/metal inspired heavy, driving, riffs.
DJ Ade Simpson will provide a suitably curated musical back-drop, as ever.
Foist are a not-for-profit, volunteer-run music collective, based in the Forest of Dean. Their aim is to support original, grassroots, live music – locally and beyond.
This event is suitable for ages 14+ (under 16s must be accompanied by an adult). Please note that the event may contain swearing. This venue has a bar.
TRANSPORT & PARKING INFORMATION
This venue has no on-site parking but there is on-street parking in the village of Newnham. Located on the A48. There are bus routes available through Newnham.
